PDF to Word — convert text to an editable .docx

Upload a PDF and download a Word document built from extractable text—ideal for quick edits when layout fidelity can be relaxed.

We pull text out of your PDF on the server and pack it into a standard .docx file. Paragraphs follow blank lines in the source; long single blocks are split by line breaks so the document is easier to work with in Word or Google Docs.

This is not a pixel-perfect recreation: complex layouts, tables, and images may not transfer. Scanned PDFs without a text layer usually produce an empty result—use OCR elsewhere first if you need text from scans.

PDF to Word workspace

Move from a locked PDF to an editable Word file when you mainly need the words, not the original design.

Max 25 MB per file · up to 400 pages · .docx download

Choose a PDF with selectable text, then convert to download a .docx.

What you can do here

Move from a locked PDF to an editable Word file when you mainly need the words, not the original design.

Extract visible text from the PDF and turn it into paragraphs in a .docx.

Download a standard Word file you can open in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, or Google Docs.

One click after upload: conversion runs on the server and triggers your download.

File size and page caps keep processing reliable—see the hint under the toolbar.

Nothing converts until you click the button, so you can swap files first.

How to use it

1

Click Choose PDF and pick a file. The name appears when it is ready to convert.

2

Click Convert & download. We extract text and build a .docx on the server.

3

Open the downloaded .docx in Word or another editor and adjust formatting as needed.

What to expect

Output is text-first: columns, headers, footers, and precise fonts are not preserved. Tables may flatten to plain text. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Always review the .docx before sharing or printing.

Quick question

Is my PDF uploaded to convert it to Word?

Yes. Text extraction and .docx creation run on our servers so you can download the result. Do not upload confidential documents unless you accept that tradeoff.
